This year the Summer Sizzler was held over the weekend of Agust 13-14. This is the hottest part of the summer for the Seattle area, hence the races name! This year was special due the the appearance of many top guns from the West coast. Barry Baker of Associated, Darren Shank of Associated, Peter Robinson of Xray, Travis Schreven of Xray, and many other local heros.

I competed in the 19T sedan and Modified Sedan classes, along with all the other drivers.
After four rounds of qualifying, I held the TQ in Modified sedan, and 2nd on the grid in 19T.

There were many great battles in the mains. Barry Baker won the first two mains in 19T to secure the overall win for him, however in Modified it was myself winning the first main, and Barry the second to force the third and
deciding main. In the third main I led for the first few laps and then making a small mistake to give Barry the lead. After that our positions did not change for the remainder of the race as both of us had to deal with lap traffic.
